The Restaurant

The restaurant-pizzeria “LA QUERCIA” is situated in central Italy in the heart of the rolling, green hills of the Marche region, half way along the road between the ancient Roman and Medieval towns: Fano and Pesaro .

The restaurant is splendidly located just 6 km from the sea and from the thermal spa in Carignano. Close by, are also the town of San Leo, the Republic of San Marino and the castles of Gradara and Mondavio, famous world-wide for its fortresses and exhibitions of wax statues that re-enact scenes typical of medieval times.
Typical Marche style dishes are served in the restaurant, as well as a wide selection of wood oven pizza. This recently rebuilt restaurant seats up to 240 people in three interior dining rooms, including a private dining area which seats up to a party of 40. During season, it also seats an additional 300 persons on the outdoor patio.

On hot, summer days come and spend your free time relaxing at our pool area and enjoy the spacious whirlpool. Small children will have tons of fun splashing around in our baby pool and entertaining themselves at our playground.

We welcome you …

Around our table , as long, long ago when the “Marcagna” reunited with great grandfather, Laurino, grandfather, Saldino, and their wives: both wonderful cooks of the Marches tradition.
La quercia (the oak tree): no other name could have been as perfectly chosen as the name taken from the enormous, oak tree around which they played as small children and under which they often took refuge from the burning sun during their slow, uneventful summers in the country.

La quercia has become the family symbol, symbolic of a hill, a country house, a restaurant, and we hope that it also becomes a symbol for your family each time that you decide to reunite around one of our tables.

… and as for you, our little guests, don’t you worry… you will grow and be able to continue to gather around our table in the future along with your own families: future generations beginning with little Filippo, will carry on the tradition at La Quercia… as his daddy, Cristian is doing now, and as his grandpa, Silvano had done before him.

La Quercia is a tree that will go on for centuries to come.
